Webinar scheduled to address Minnesota’s paid family medical leave program for small businesses

A free webinar will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at noon Central Time to discuss Minnesota's upcoming Paid Family Medical Leave program. The program is set to begin on January 1, 2026. The event is organized by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Minnesota.

Jon Boesche, NFIB Minnesota State Director, and Martin Kappenman, an employment and labor lawyer from Peters and Kappenman, will present information relevant to small business owners about how to prepare for the new program. NFIB member Martin Kappenman will also participate in the presentation.

Ben Abrahamson, NFIB Grassroots Manager, will speak about previous and planned advocacy efforts related to reforming the paid leave mandate.
