In another tweet dated December 10, 2024, Rep. Omar commented on the events of January 6, stating: "The events of January 6 were not a protest—they were a direct assault on our democracy." She emphasized that pardoning those involved would send an unacceptable message and stressed the importance of standing firm to protect democracy.

Later that day, she expressed satisfaction over assisting a constituent known as a "Swiftie," who needed help obtaining a passport to attend the Eras Tour in Canada. In her tweet she stated: "So glad my office could help a Swiftie who was down bad in need of a passport to attend the Eras Tour in Canada." She also encouraged constituents needing assistance with federal services to contact her office.
