Hennepin County Government: International Women’s Day

Hennepin County Government recently issued the following announcement.

Did you know? Over 62% of Hennepin County’s workforce including 55% of leadership identifies as female.

The Hennepin County Board, led by its majority of women, recognizes today as International Women’s Day, and acknowledges all women working in the Hennepin County organization and in the community for their service. Today we celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, while honoring the work that continues to achieve gender equality. bit.ly/3CrKFQP

On March 15, the Lowry Avenue Bridge will be lit purple in recognition of Women’s History Month.
