Falling home prices in New Germany in the fourth quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2020 in New Germany fell by $174,050 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2020, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,950 - a 43% decrease over the $405,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in New Germany in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in New Germany for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,234, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2020.
