Rising home prices in Scandia in the second half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Scandia rose by $27,500 while total sales decreased by 15.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 22 homes sold, with a median sale price of $377,500 - a 7.9% increase over the $350,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 26 homes sold in Scandia in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Scandia for 2020 was $3,845. In 2019, the median sales tax was $3,570. This marks an increase of 7.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1%.
