Bloomington home prices rise in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Bloomington rose by $19,500 while total sales decreased by 43.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 316 homes sold, with a median sale price of $303,000 - a 6.9% increase over the $283,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 561 homes sold in Bloomington in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Bloomington for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,580, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
