Independence home prices fall in the second quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2020 in Independence fell by $19,600 while total sales decreased by 61.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2020, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $419,900 - a 4.5% decrease over the $439,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in Independence in the second quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Independence for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $5,374, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2020.
