The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) conducted a poll through Zogby Analytics and found that likely voters in Minnesota support reductions in immigration.

Voters across the state believe that reductions in immigration would help with the massive layoffs occurring due to COVID-19, the FAIR release states.

The poll found that 77% of voters believe in slowing down the immigrants until health screenings are available for everyone entering the state.

"The polling shows clear public support in Minnesota for many of the immigration policy steps that the Trump administration has taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the resulting economic and unemployment crisis," Dan Stein, president of FAIR, said in the release. "Voters in this key state agree that reductions in the admission of new immigrants and foreign workers are a prudent response to a crisis that has resulted in some 40 million Americans losing their jobs, and there is broad support for additional measures to be taken by the White House."
