City Of Adrian issued the following announcement on June 19.
Fun Fact Friday:
Greetings from the Adrian Branch Library! We are happy to have our doors open again and are looking forward to providing some entertainment options during this time of many restrictions! We are open from noon until 5:00pm Monday through Friday. We opened to the public on May 26th with safety guidelines in place. We are keeping up on new information and are constantly reassessing our procedures. We have made some changes since opening.
• We now allow children to visit without parent supervision, but they must observe social distancing guidelines and limit themselves to one 1-hr visit a day (same as adults).
• It is now okay to return books inside. The grace period for overdue items ended on June 9. Please return any overdue materials, as we are beginning to send out overdue notices again.
Keeping your child reading this summer is an important step toward fall success. Please stop in and sign up for the summer reading program. Your child will receive a reading log to keep track of time spent reading. The log also has missions to complete to keep reading fun all summer long. Your child can earn prizes by bringing in their log as they fill it up. We have many new books on our shelves, and are excited to hear what kids think of them!
As we adjust to our new normal, we are looking for some input about children’s programming. If your family is interested in attending preschool story times or school aged book clubs this summer, please contact us at adrianlib@co.nobles.mn.us or 507-483-2541. We would love input about what works best for families in our community.
We also encourage you to visit our brand new website https://nclibrary.org. It features the latest news, events, and programs at the library. You can use it to access the Plum Creek catalog, e-books, and there are links to research and community resources.
