BEMIDJI AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Let's Keep Talent Local!

Meeting

Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 5

Employers, you spoke, and we listened!

You told us you want to "keep talent local" by recruiting and hiring Bemidji State University (BSU) students but report difficultly identifying and recruiting candidates. BSU students have told us they "want to stay and pursue careers in the Bemidji Area Region" but report difficulty locating and securing meaningful local employment.

Arrive early and join the conversation on

Wednesday, March 4 from 8:00-9:00am

to help identify the disconnect!

A panel of students in accounting, finance/fraud examination, marketing, sales, project and facilities management, healthcare construction, etc. will engage in authentic conversation with you, our employers in the region, about the challenges and opportunities of searching for and securing internships, part-time, and full-time employment in our region. Students will share what appeals to them about living/working here, what they read in job descriptions/postings that make them interested in applying, when/how they search for jobs, what challenges they've experienced trying to find local employment, and how we can all help talent local!

Entrepreneurs and employers this is YOUR opportunity to network, recruit, ask students questions, and help keep talent local!
