City of Adrian issued the following announcement on March 5
Six miles of Hwy 91 restricted to 7 ton during 2020 spring thaw
Construction project resumes this spring
We want to advise haulers that Highway 91 from Nobles County Road 16 (160th Street) to the Nobles/Murray County line will be restricted to 7 ton per axle when spring weight restrictions are in place for the south zone, which could begin in early March.
Construction on Highway 91 from Adrian to Russell is expected to resume when weather allows this spring and be complete in late June. Spring load restrictions are typically placed sometime in March and removed in May to prevent damage to highway pavement structure during the spring thaw.
With Highway 91 still under construction, portions of the highway did not get the final surface paved making it more susceptible to damage from heavy loads. A notice will be published three days before the start of the road restrictions.
