Victoria home prices fall in August 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2019 in Victoria fell by $10,100 while total sales decreased by 15%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2019, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $424,900 - a 2.3% decrease over the $435,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 20 homes sold in Victoria in August 2018.

The median sales tax in Victoria for 2019 was $5,260. In 2018, the median sales tax was $5,082. This marks an increase of 3.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
