Columbus home prices fall in May 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2019 in Columbus fell by $44,900 while total sales decreased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2019, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $270,000 - a 14.3% decrease over the $314,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Columbus in May 2018.

The median sales tax in Columbus for 2019 was $3,826. In 2018, the median sales tax was $3,246. This marks an increase of 17.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
