Lexington home prices rise in July 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2019 in Lexington rose by $41,500 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2019, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $252,500 - a 19.7% increase over the $211,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Lexington in July 2018.

The median sales tax in Lexington for 2019 was $3,015. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,480. This marks an increase of 21.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
