Columbus home prices rise in August 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2019 in Columbus rose by $56,750 while total sales increased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2019, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $350,000 - a 19.4% increase over the $293,251 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Columbus in August 2018.

The median sales tax in Columbus for 2019 was $3,826. In 2018, the median sales tax was $3,246. This marks an increase of 17.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
