Columbus home prices fall in September 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2019 in Columbus fell by $115,100 while total sales increased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2019, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $349,900 - a 24.8% decrease over the $465,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Columbus in September 2018.

The median sales tax in Columbus for 2019 was $3,826. In 2018, the median sales tax was $3,246. This marks an increase of 17.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
