St. Paul home prices rise in August 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2019 in St. Paul rose by $7,000 while total sales decreased by 4.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2019, there were 392 homes sold, with a median sale price of $225,500 - a 3.2% increase over the $218,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 409 homes sold in St. Paul in August 2018.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2019 was $3,106. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,772. This marks an increase of 12%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
