New Germany home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in New Germany rose by $63,575 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $202,500 - a 45.8% increase over the $138,925 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in New Germany in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in New Germany for 2019 was $3,234. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,706. This marks an increase of 19.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.6%.
