Farmington home prices rise in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Farmington rose by $21,500 while total sales increased by 3.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 82 homes sold, with a median sale price of $245,000 - a 9.6% increase over the $223,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 79 homes sold in Farmington in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Farmington for 2019 was $3,656. In 2018, the median sales tax was $3,465. This marks an increase of 5.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
