West St. Paul home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in West St. Paul rose by $17,850 while total sales decreased by 5.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 83 homes sold, with a median sale price of $239,650 - a 8% increase over the $221,800 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 88 homes sold in West St. Paul in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in West St. Paul for 2019 was $2,795. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,468. This marks an increase of 13.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
