Bloomington home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Bloomington rose by $18,600 while total sales decreased by 2.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 360 homes sold, with a median sale price of $293,600 - a 6.8% increase over the $275,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 369 homes sold in Bloomington in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Bloomington for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,927, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
