North St. Paul home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in North St. Paul rose by $27,100 while total sales increased by 41.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 61 homes sold, with a median sale price of $225,000 - a 13.7% increase over the $197,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 43 homes sold in North St. Paul in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in North St. Paul for 2018 was $2,578. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,613. This marks an decrease of 1.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
