New Germany home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in New Germany fell by $4,900 while total sales increased by 42.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $173,500 - a 2.7% decrease over the $178,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in New Germany in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in New Germany for 2019 was $3,234. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,706. This marks an increase of 19.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
