Castle Rock home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Castle Rock fell by $24,800 while total sales decreased by 42.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $312,200 - a 7.4% decrease over the $337,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Castle Rock in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Castle Rock for 2019 was $2,955. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,754. This marks an increase of 7.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.9%.
