Castle Rock home prices fall in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Castle Rock fell by $7,500 while total sales decreased by 69.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $292,500 - a 2.5% decrease over the $300,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 13 homes sold in Castle Rock in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Castle Rock for 2019 was $2,955. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,754. This marks an increase of 7.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1%.
