Shoreview home prices rise in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Shoreview rose by $22,550 while total sales increased by 21.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 173 homes sold, with a median sale price of $302,500 - a 8.1% increase over the $279,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 142 homes sold in Shoreview in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Shoreview for 2019 was $4,106. In 2018, the median sales tax was $3,962. This marks an increase of 3.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
