Savage home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Savage rose by $12,150 while total sales decreased by 8.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 532 homes sold, with a median sale price of $267,150 - a 4.8% increase over the $255,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 580 homes sold in Savage in 2016.

The median sales tax in Savage for 2017 was $3,452. In 2016, the median sales tax was $3,460. This marks an decrease of 0.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
