New Prague home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in New Prague fell by $11,500 while total sales increased by 8.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 51 homes sold, with a median sale price of $214,900 - a 5.1% decrease over the $226,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 47 homes sold in New Prague in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in New Prague for 2017 was $2,730. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,610. This marks an increase of 4.6%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
