Lexington home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Lexington rose by $7,000 while total sales remained unchanged with seven homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $205,000 - a 3.5% increase over the $198,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Lexington in the first half of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Lexington for the most recent year with available data, 2014, was $2,281, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
