Columbus home prices rise in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Columbus rose by $34,050 while total sales decreased by 29.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $314,900 - a 12.1% increase over the $280,850 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in Columbus in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Columbus for the most recent year with available data, 2014, was $2,762, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
