Belle Plaine home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Belle Plaine rose by $29,600 while total sales remained unchanged with 41 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 41 homes sold, with a median sale price of $221,500 - a 15.4% increase over the $191,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 41 homes sold in Belle Plaine in the fourth quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Belle Plaine for 2017 was $2,883. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,817. This marks an increase of 2.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
