Belle Plaine home prices rise in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Belle Plaine rose by $49,600 while total sales decreased by 56.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were 19 homes sold, with a median sale price of $242,000 - a 25.8% increase over the $192,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 44 homes sold in Belle Plaine in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Belle Plaine for 2018 was $3,094. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,883. This marks an increase of 7.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
