Lakeland home prices rise in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Lakeland rose by $24,500 while total sales increased by 42.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $264,500 - a 10.2% increase over the $240,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Lakeland in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Lakeland for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,334, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2017.
