Chaska home prices fall in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Chaska fell by $40,250 while total sales decreased by 29.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 100 homes sold, with a median sale price of $238,250 - a 14.5% decrease over the $278,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 141 homes sold in Chaska in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Chaska for 2018 was $3,128. In 2017, the median sales tax was $3,052. This marks an increase of 2.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
