Excelsior home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Excelsior rose by $1,100 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $430,000 - a 0.3% increase over the $428,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Excelsior in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Excelsior for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $5,453, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
