Minneapolis home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Minneapolis rose by $6,125 while total sales increased by 6.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 1,140 homes sold, with a median sale price of $226,075 - a 2.8% increase over the $219,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,072 homes sold in Minneapolis in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,968, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2017.
