Lauderdale home prices fall in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Lauderdale fell by $10,250 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were nine homes sold, with a median sale price of $171,000 - a 5.7% decrease over the $181,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Lauderdale in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Lauderdale for 2018 was $2,520. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,129. This marks an increase of 18.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
