Shakopee home prices rise in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Shakopee rose by $38,700 while total sales decreased by 2.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were 36 homes sold, with a median sale price of $222,200 - a 21.1% increase over the $183,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 37 homes sold in Shakopee in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Shakopee for 2017 was $2,756. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,806. This marks an decrease of 1.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
