St. Paul home prices rise in April 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2017 in St. Paul rose by $11,950 while total sales decreased by 16.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2017, there were 301 homes sold, with a median sale price of $175,700 - a 7.3% increase over the $163,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 362 homes sold in St. Paul in April 2016.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2017 was $2,566. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,484. This marks an increase of 3.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.5%.
