St. Paul home prices rise in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in St. Paul rose by $18,225 while total sales increased by 0.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were 356 homes sold, with a median sale price of $195,725 - a 10.3% increase over the $177,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 354 homes sold in St. Paul in May 2016.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2017 was $2,566. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,484. This marks an increase of 3.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
