St. Paul home prices rise in September 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2017 in St. Paul rose by $13,775 while total sales decreased by 6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2017, there were 280 homes sold, with a median sale price of $185,500 - a 8% increase over the $171,725 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 298 homes sold in St. Paul in September 2016.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2017 was $2,566. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,484. This marks an increase of 3.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
