St. Paul home prices rise in January 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2018 in St. Paul rose by $15,850 while total sales increased by 21%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2018, there were 236 homes sold, with a median sale price of $175,750 - a 9.9% increase over the $159,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 195 homes sold in St. Paul in January 2017.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2018 was $2,772. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,566. This marks an increase of 8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.6%.
