St. Paul home prices rise in May 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2018 in St. Paul rose by $9,275 while total sales decreased by 3.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2018, there were 342 homes sold, with a median sale price of $205,000 - a 4.7% increase over the $195,725 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 356 homes sold in St. Paul in May 2017.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for 2018 was $2,772. In 2017, the median sales tax was $2,566. This marks an increase of 8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.4%.
