The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Minnesota PAC has endorsed Michael Holmstrom, Jr. for State Senate District 29 and Dwight Dorau for State Senate District 47. The announcement was made as small business owners in Minnesota continue to face challenges such as increased taxes, regulatory hurdles, and workforce shortages.
According to the NFIB, while federal lawmakers have made the small business tax deduction permanent, local businesses still require strong support within the state legislature.
“Michael Holmstrom, Jr. and Dwight Dorau are the voices small businesses need in St. Paul,” said NFIB Minnesota State Director Jon Boesche. “Their stances on lowering taxes, cutting red tape, and limiting government align with NFIB priorities. We are confident that these candidates will do an exceptional job representing small businesses in the Legislature.”
NFIB represents more than 10,000 small businesses throughout Minnesota. Endorsements from the NFIB MN PAC are decided by a board composed of local small business owners. The organization views its endorsement as a key indicator to voters that a candidate is supportive of small business interests.
The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 4th.
