The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has announced a public meeting scheduled for March 12 to discuss the upcoming construction project at the Highway 169 and Highway 282/County Road 9 interchange in Jordan. The meeting will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Jordan Community Education and Recreation Center. Attendees can visit anytime during the meeting as there will be no formal presentation, but project team members will be available to provide information and answer questions.
In case of adverse weather conditions, updates about the meeting will be posted on the project's webpage. A virtual presentation will also be made available online after the meeting at mndot.gov/metro/projects/hwy169-hwy282jordan.
Construction is set to commence in spring 2025, contingent on weather and scheduling. During this period, motorists should expect single-lane traffic in both directions on Highway 169 and local detours due to roundabout construction at County Road 9 and Valley View Drive.
The project, a collaboration between MnDOT, the city of Jordan, and Scott County, aims to build a new interchange that includes two bridges, large drainage culverts, two roundabouts, a pedestrian tunnel, sidewalks, retaining walls, and noise walls. The goal is to enhance safety and traffic flow while improving connections for pedestrians and bicyclists.
