The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Representative Tom Emmer for re-election to the United States House of Representatives. Emmer, who represents Minnesota's 6th Congressional District, has been recognized by NFIB as a strong advocate for small business owners in the state.
John Reynolds, NFIB Minnesota State Director, stated, "Rep. Tom Emmer is a proven advocate for small business owners in Minnesota." He noted that Emmer consistently supports small businesses on key issues and has earned a 100% NFIB voting record during his current term. Reynolds highlighted Emmer's role as a cosponsor of the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, legislation aimed at making the Small Business Deduction permanent.
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also expressed support for Emmer's candidacy: "We are pleased to endorse Rep. Tom Emmer today." She emphasized that Emmer understands the challenges faced by Main Street businesses and will prioritize job creators both in Minnesota and Washington.
The endorsement was made by NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee. This committee is funded through voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their regular membership dues. The decision-making process within NFIB FedPAC involves grassroots evaluation driven by its members.
