City of Ada issued the following announcement on Nov. 4.
We apologize for the inconvenience, the Ada Compost Site is shut down until further notice. Earlier this afternoon someone lit the brush pile at the compost site on fire, for the safety of our community members we need to shut the gates as Public Works and the Police Department monitor the flames. We understand this puts a burden on residents who currently need to dump their brush and again, we apologize. This was not an intended burn.
