CITY OF ADRIAN: Fall Trash Pick-up Start On September 14th

City of Adrian issued the following announcement on Sept. 12.

Fall Trash Pick-up will start on Monday, September 14th. All items must be set out by 8 a.m. however not before Saturday, September 12th.

Note the following rules:

1. No tires, batteries, paints, or other hazardous materials will be picked up.

2. No garbage or recyclables will be picked up. Please put these items in the usual areas for regular weekly collection. Any items small enough to fit in your garbage can, or items set out in cardboard boxes will not be picked up.

3. Any items to large to fit in a commercial dumpster will not be picked up.

4. No large amounts of remodel/construction materials will be picked up.

5. No residential alleys will be picked up; items must be at the front curbside.

6. There will be a charge for the following:

Freezers, Large Appliances, Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, and Other Appliances (computers, TV's, Dehumidifiers, etc)

This is a landfill charge and is subject to change. The 2019 charge for appliances was $22.

7. Residents may not place ANYTHING (including garbage) in dumpsters. City crews will place items in the dumpsters. Garbage should be set out for weekly collection, as usual.

8. Once a street is done, no more items will be picked up.

9. Anyone not following these rules will be responsible for their own hauling and disposal.
