A Minnesota House of Representatives member was spotted Oct. 10 at a protest with the leftist activist group Antifa.
Rep. Aisha Gomez (D-Minneapolis) was filmed while engaging in protests with the group, Townhall reports. The group assaulted supporters of President Donald Trump and burned "Make America Great Again" hats after a rally Trump had finished speaking, according to the news agency.
Twin Cities Talk Radio host Jon Justice tweeted about the incident, asking Gomez to call into the show and explain her behavior with Antifa. On Facebook, he questioned if the House Speaker Melissa Hortman (D-Brooklyn Park) or Gov. Tim Walz supported Gomez participating in the rally.
The video of Gomez was captured by Andy Mannix, a Star Tribune reporter who covers courts and law enforcement, according to Townhall. He captured video of Antifa protesters yelling profanities, beating on cars and verbally assaulting rally attendees, Justice noted in his Facebook post.
