Minneapolis home prices rise in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Minneapolis rose by $30,680 while total sales decreased by 5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were 301 homes sold, with a median sale price of $221,800 - a 16.1% increase over the $191,120 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 317 homes sold in Minneapolis in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Minneapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,968, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for January 2017.
